Hi, I’m Marina, an award-winning Clinical Hypnotherapist and Anxiety Specialist based in Fife, Scotland. I help people break free from trauma, phobias, and emotional overwhelm so they can reconnect with their true selves and live more confidently.

But this isn’t just a job for me,  it’s a calling.

For years, I battled depression, anxiety, and trauma rooted in both childhood and adult experiences, including the emotional toll of a mentally abusive relationship. I unnderstand what it’s like to feel lost, stuck, overwhelmed, and like you’re constantly fighting just to keep going. But I also know what it’s like to heal, to rediscover your power and rebuild your life from the inside out.

That’s why I do this work, because healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.

My Journey to help others

Like many of the clients I now support, I tried everything, talking therapies, medication, self-help books, but nothing ever truly stuck. It wasn’t until I discovered hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) that things began to shift.

These tools helped me see myself differently, release emotional baggage I didn’t realise I was carrying, and start thinking, feeling, and behaving in more aligned ways. The transformation was so powerful that I knew I had to learn everything I could to help others find the same freedom.

What started as personal healing became a lifelong mission.

How Affirmations Help with Anxiety One of my morning rituals every morning is using affirmations, typically whilst I’m in the shower. They help me feel grounded and calm. Using affirmations regularly helpsRewire the brain, creating stronger neural pathways. Interrupt the anxious feelings helping you to break that spiral of negative thinking. Helps the nervous system internalise safely and calm fasterLowers cortisol, the stress hormone, so lowering stress and anxiety. Boosts self worth by focusing on your personal strengths and values. It’s always important to pick an affirmation that resonates with you, so it has more meaning. When I use Silent Counselling with a client we tap at the side of the hand when saying an affirmation, because in Silent Counselling the side of the hand is about holding onto negative thoughts and emotions and about accepting change. So after we have cleared any blockages in the meridians we find an affirmation that resonates with them an tap it in. Some affirmations might resonate with you more at different times of the day or when you’re in a different situation. It’s not a one and done kind of thing, it’s creating a regular routine or ritual that includes them. Ideally in the morning, in the shower is a handy way to include it in your day, or you can do it before bed. Also saying them several times is important, I do mine 3 times but you can say them more, and that helps solidify the belief.
