Happiness comes from within. ![]()
I was working with a client recently and I had asked them to think of something that made them feel happy, full of love and joy. ![]()
They couldn’t think of anything. ![]()
They said that they don’t think they’d ever really experienced happiness. They had thought that they had found it on a few occasions but when we spoke it was more about being “happy when”. ![]()
For example if you’re looking for a new relationship and you think you’ll be happy when you get it. You might, but you might not. You’ll only get it if you have happiness already within you. ![]()
So you can be happy and have (fill in the blank). ![]()
Don’t live a life of being happy when you get the new job, new partner, new car, new house. Live a life of being happy and having them. ![]()
To find the happiness you want look inside. If you can’t think of a memory, a place, a person or thing that makes you feel happy I’m sure you can imagine what happiness would look like. Maybe it’s a colour that when you think about it, it gives you those warm fuzzy feelings or it may be you’ve watched a movie and saw the stars having those feel good moments, just visualise and imagine that was you and see how that would feel. ![]()
There are ways to help you find some happiness inside. ![]()
What makes you get those warm fuzzy feelings? For me it’s remembering my grandson being born. ![]()

I’ve created a series of affirmations that you can say weekly to help shift your mindset. ![]()
Anxiety usually creates a sense of rush, a feeling that everything must be solved immediately. ![]()
If you are rushing around crazy today just take a few moments to yourself, take a few deep breaths and repeat this affirmation 3 times. ![]()
Today, I choose steadiness over urgency.![]()
If anxiety rises later then use this one. ![]()
I am safe right now. ![]()
You don’t have to race through today to get through. Slow and steady is safe. ![]()
