When we do our firewalks we sometimes get people to walk over broken glass. ![]()
I know many of you will be wondering what the hell for. It’s not about walking on glass it’s about focusing on the present moment. ![]()
It’s teaching them to pay attention and give 💯 to what they are doing in that moment. ![]()
It’s not always easy to stay in the present moment. Depression is when you focus on the bad things from the past and anxiety is when you focus on all the things that you think can happen in the future. ![]()
The best way to bring your focus to the present is to bring your awareness to your breath. By simply focusing on each in breath and each out breath. Doing specific breathing patterns such as box breathing, in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4 or 7-11 breathing, breath in for 7 and out for 11. ![]()
When you focus on what you are doing in the present moment, even if it’s just washing the dishes, making a coffee, give it 💯 of your attention it will help you relax, stay focused and depending on what your doing, make it a more enjoyable experience. ![]()
